From
Our President
Dear Prospective Homebuyer,
Welcome, and thank you for considering Terrace Homes.
If you are new to our company, I’d like to share a little
bit about our operation and how we conduct business.
First of all, I’ve learned over the past thirty years, that
the new home buying experience is not about us, but about you and
what you want from a new home. I realize that in order for us to
earn your business, you must be confident that we can not only
provide the product that suits your needs (tangible) but that we
will also, throughout the design, construction, and warranty phases,
conduct ourselves in the professional manner you deserve (intangible).
From the tangible (or product) side of the equation, we merchandise
our models at the highest level for your viewing pleasure and product
selection. From there, our team accepts the responsibility of creating
the best long term value for your home buying dollar, regardless
of your level of investment. Like every home before yours, your
Terrace Home will be individually designed from scratch and appointed
to fit your style and budget.
Now to the intangibles, the history and spirit of our Company...
Since its inception in 1975, Terrace Homes has been owned and managed
by three generations of the Manternach family. We’re proud
of our reputation as a leader in the custom home building industry
and we each have a huge personal stake in continuing operations
and satisfying our homeowners. In this, our thirtieth year, we
will produce our 6,000th home; each designed and built to its owner’s
individual specifications.
Our entire family works everyday to earn your business. Ask them
or any one of our 100+ employees, “why would you buy a Terrace?” I
expect you’ll hear, depending on their area of expertise, “quality
construction”, “personal service”, “great
designs”, “solid company”, “customer satisfaction”...
or possibly a summary of our niche in the homebuilding universe: “we
provide architecturally designed, computer engineered, energy star
rated, custom built homes utilizing the efficiencies of the systems
building process.” All good answers...
But as I mentioned earlier, this isn’t about us, it’s
about you. Only you know what’s most important to you and
your family when making your home buying decision. With that in
mind, I’ll offer this answer and my personal commitment,
that given the opportunity and short of compromising our core values
or the integrity of our product, we’ll do whatever it takes
to add you to our growing family of satisfied Terrace Homeowners.
If you have questions unanswered, or if you need help with your
buying decision, feel free to contact me personally at 608-339-7888.
Respectfully,
Galen T. Manternach

Recently, Bob Vila praised modular home construction and it's benefits
in an article featured on his website. Below is a small snippet
of this article...
Modular homes are like the hybrid car of
the house-building industry. They save money, they make sense,
but they haven't caught on yet. General misconceptions keep
many from considering going modular, and the confusion between
modular homes and manufactured (mobile) homes has led to regulations
and restrictions being placed by towns that have new home builders
scared into going the traditional route. But the word is getting
out.
